A Bible Bible Timeline Poster Presents A Graphical Representation To Aid And Help Teach Bible Characters And Events And Truths

Unfortunately, a numerous preachers and Bible teachers in our churches continue to preach shallow, superficial, flimsy, light weight sermons and their Church members hardly grow in Bible knowledge and understanding. Preachers love to give us'moral essays' and'warming affirmations' because supposedly, if we love people this is what we will do. Regrettable it seems, if God's men and women are falling through the cracks'for an absence of knowledge' as long as we are nice and loving to all. Truly, the more like this world, the less relevant we are to this world.
Some years ago, I was speaking on the resurrection, death, burial and life of Jesus, and a retired minister and powerful preacher of the Bible, who had been in the ministry for 40 years, came to me and reproved me smartly over some fascinating points I made and he remarked 1Ti 1:4'Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.' I humbly asked him if I was saying anything of a heretical nature in any way, to which he replied"No". I continued on to spell out that in the case of that particular verse, it was not referring to exploring Scripture but to the false teaching and school of thought of the Gnostics, but he wouldn't accept it. Let me ask, how can a 40 year preacher & worker in the Gospel, not understand and know about a thing that possibly half the books of the New Testament relate to?
How can he understand and preach the Bible clearly without being familiar with a thing that was so influential in the New Testament church? And then how can the congregation hope to comprehend these things and be able to understand their Bible properly, if they are not informed?
Let's us as tutors and preachers stitch together the aspects of God's Word and God's plan into a seamless tapestry that our people are able to draw on for the rest of their lives, to help them to comprehend God, His Eternal Plan, the function of the Church and ways to better translate the Bible to live by.
It is not difficult to do, and it is not boring if we are ready to put in a bit of study and prayer and fervor, and just possibly you can employ a Bible Timeline as well.
